Screenshots for the Institute for Contemporary Art’s “Mediatheque”

The Mediatheque was created for the ICA's grand re-opening, in its new building on the waterfront in Boston, MA. Working closely with Chedd-Angier-Lewis, the Mediatheque was designed to allow the visitors to the museum “interact” with the work on display in the museum by browsing through the database of work, view videos of the artists or experts, comment and tag the work, view other visitors' comments, participate in polls and questionaires, and more.

In order to manage the immense gallery of artists, work, videos, and related data, I designed a web-based “updater” program that allowed the museum to manage every aspect of their new Mediatheque. Extensive in scope, the updater emplyed php with a MySQL database, and utilized the best of XHTML/CSS design techniques along with AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript And XML) to provide a sleek, clearly organized, and very user-friendly program.

The screenshots below are of the web-based Mediatheque updater program.
